Change in IRMA 2013 Exam Pattern: More Questions in English & Analytical Reasoning

The Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) is a management institute with a difference: set up to provide management education, training, research and consultancy support to co-operatives and rural development organisations in India.

Over the years, IRMA has become a frontrunner in professionalising the development of India’s rural sector. Over the years it has provided management training, support and research facilities to students committed to rural development and in this process it has brought within its ambit several co-operatives, non-government organisations, government development agencies, international development organisations and funding agencies.

IRMA conducts its own entrance exam every year for admissions to its flagship Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management. There are some changes in the IRMA entrance exam for admissions to the 34th Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management, commencing on 17 June 2013.

IRMA has tweaked the existing exam pattern giving more weightage to the "English Comprehension" and "Analytical Reasoning" sections. The total number of questions however still remain the same i.e. 200 questions. According to sources at IRMA, the weightage for the "Issues of Social Concern" section was reduced as this area would be tested again directly when the short listed candidates appear for GD and interview rounds at IRMA.  

The IRMA entrance exam for admissions to the 2013-15 academic batch will be conducted on 11th Nov 2012.
