Teaching is not an ordinary job, for it has the power to educate and influence minds. One of the noblest professions, teaching contributes immensely to the society and the culture. 

If you think you have the attributes of a teacher, then take the 8th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 20th September, 2015 (Sunday).

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted CTET exam for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII.

Those interested can apply online on the official website of CTET - www.ctet.nic.in.

(No correction will be allowed in any particulars

Applicability

  • Candidates who qualify the CTET can apply to the Central Government schools (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.
  • Candidates may also apply to the unaided private schools on the basis of CTET.
  • Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools may exercise the option of considering the CTET if they decide not conduct the State Government decides not conduct the State TET for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher.

Note: Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
