If you think you have the attributes of a teacher, then take the 8th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 20th September, 2015 (Sunday).
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted CTET exam for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII.

Applicability
- Candidates who qualify the CTET can apply to the Central Government schools (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the Administrative Control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi.
- Candidates may also apply to the unaided private schools on the basis of CTET.
- Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools may exercise the option of considering the CTET if they decide not conduct the State Government decides not conduct the State TET for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher.
Note: Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
