CDS-I (2016) – The Process Ahead

The wait is finally over for many aspirants with Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) officially declaring the results for Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2022 on 3rd May 2022. 8411 candidates have qualified for an interview that will be conducted soon by the Service Selection Board of the Defence Ministry.

UPSC will now soon announce the CDS1 cut-offs after they declare the final results of the Defence Services Examination. Based on the results and cut-offs, successful candidates are admitted into the respective academies.

About CDS:

• Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted twice a year (February and August).
• The examination is divided into two parts – Written Test and Interview.
• Final exam marks are declared after the interview and include marks obtained in both written test and interview.
• Cut-off marks are declared once the final exam marks are posted on the website.
• Through this process, UPSC has announced to fill a total of 457 vacancies for five courses – Indian Military Academy Dehradun (200), India Naval Academy Ezhimala (45), Air Force Academy Hyderabad (32), Officers Training Academy (for Men) Chennai (175) and Officers Training Academy (for Women) Chennai (05).

While there is still time for UPSC to upload the Cut-off -2022 list, aspirants can check out the cut-offs of the last two years.
