CAT 2016 Application Correction Process Starts, to Remain on Until October 5

CAT 2022 application process witnessed some considerable changes this year as IIM Banglore, CAT 2022 conducting body, is allowing candidates to correct errors in their application forms. This is first time ever in the history of CAT that such a provision has been introduced to help candidates avoid application rejection owing to minor mistakes in the form filling. 

What can be changed in CAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates who reach out to the official website of the CAT 2022 to edit can make changes in the selected fields. There are only three fields candidates can make changes in, which are as follows:

1. Percentage of Marks Obtained.
2. Programme Selected
3. Work Experience  

In case students have filled up wrong percentage of marks scored at any level or want to correct the number of work experience months, the time is now. In addition to this, candidates can also make changes in any number of programme names together with the interview city for that programme. Candidates will be able to change the preferences of the programme at particular IIM, though there is no limit to select the number of programmes. 

The provision to make changes in the application form has started from October 1, and the option will be up until October 5, 2022. However, the option to edit CAT 2022 application form will be available only for candidates who have completed the application process and paid the fee successfully. Those who have just registered but didn’t pay the application fee won’t be able to edit or complete their application process now.

How to Correct Mistakes in CAT 2022 Application Forms

Those who want to make changes in their CAT 2022 application forms can consider following the easy steps mentioned hereunder.

• Candidates need to login to the CAT 2022 exam website with the login credentials provided at the time of registration.
• Click on the ‘Edit Application’ tab available on the top right-hand side of the webpage.
• Make correction/edits in the application form regarding the marks, years of experience and IIMs programmes a candidate has selected. Cross check the details and finally, click on the ‘Save’ button.
