The Graduate Management Admissions Test, or CAT, is a popular option for prospective MBA students. There were around 2 lakh takers in 2022. One of India's top business schools, IIMs administer the exam annually in November. Admission to management programmes at IIMs, IITs, FMS, and other schools that are part of the Common Admissions Test (CAT) requires successful completion of the CAT. When picking which school to apply to and enrol in, several factors must be considered. College rankings regarding faculty/student quality, student placement success, cost/value, and other factors should be familiar. Exam CAT: What Does It Mean?
Admission to IIMs and other top B-schools is determined by performance on the CAT (Common Admission Test), a computer-based national-level test administered annually by IIM. There are minimum scores required for admission to top management institutions like IIMs and non-IIMs, and those students who cut must then pass additional assessments like the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI).
The number of applicants and available seats determine each year's cutoff for IIM and other B-schools.
