CAT 2025 Notification Out! Here’s Everything You Need to Know

The official CAT 2025 Notification has been released, and it is time to prepare if you intend to gain admission to the leading IIMs or other esteemed B-schools in India. Who Will Conduct CAT 2025?

This year, IIM Kozhikode (expected) will be the exam-conducting authority for CAT 2025. The official confirmation has been made through the detailed notification available on the official CAT website: www.iimcat.ac.in.

CAT 2025 Exam Date

The tentative date of CAT 2025 exam is November 30, 2025.

Just like every year, the test will be conducted in three sessions (slots) across multiple test centers in India.

• Slot 1: Morning
• Slot 2: Afternoon
• Slot 3: Evening

Each session will follow the same pattern and duration.

CAT 2025 Registration Dates

Time to get serious! CAT 2025 registration begins from:

• August 1, 2025

And the last date to register is:

• September 13, 2025

You’ll need to register on the official website, fill in your academic & personal details, upload necessary documents, select preferred exam cities, and pay the registration fee.

Registration Fee:

• ₹2500 for General category
• ₹1250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates

Note: The registration fee is a one-time payment, no matter how many IIMs you choose. Please note that this fee is non-refundable.

CAT 2025 Admit Card Download

Once you’ve successfully registered, you can download your CAT Admit Card from:
November 5, 2025 (Tentative)

The admit card will have your exam slot, test center details, reporting time, and other important instructions.

Don’t forget to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID on exam day.

CAT 2025 Exam Day – What to Expect?

The D-day is intense but exciting! Here’s a quick peek into what the CAT 2025 exam day looks like:

• Report at your center well before time (Reporting time varies by slot).
• Carry only essential items: Admit card, valid ID proof, and necessary stationery.
• Electronic gadgets, bags, and watches are strictly prohibited.
• The test will be computer-based and consists of:
  • VARC (Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension)
  • DILR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning)
  • QA (Quantitative Aptitude)

Duration: 120 Minutes (40 mins per section)

You cannot switch between sections once the time is up- so time management is key!
