CAT 2014: Exam to be conducted on November 16, 2014 and November 22, 2014!

The clock has started ticking for the CAT 2014 aspirants as the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducting body IIM Indore has announced that dates for the test. This is the second consecutive year IIM Indore will be conducting CAT.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has announced November 16, 2014 and November 22, 2014 have been decided as the CAT 2014 Examination dates. The Examination dates for CAT were earlier spread over a period of 22 days. This was the practice till CAT 2013, but this year it has been decided that the exam will only be held on the given two dates. The introduction of this procedure has withdrawn the candidate’s option of selecting their preferred slots for the exam. The rush to book a slot can now be avoided as the Candidates will be given their first preferred city across the four sessions on random basis as far as possible.

In addition to the exam dates IIM Indore has announced a number of other changes that CAT 2014 aspirants will be witnessing. The sale of offline vouchers has been discontinued, the paper pattern and time limit for CAT has also witnessed a change. In addition to these the candidates will not be getting a tutorial which was made available before start of examination will not be available this time. The MBA candidates have been advised to take the tutorials from the website well in advance. 

The registration for the CAT 2014 will remain open for 56 days beginning from August 6 and closing on September 30. The admit cards will be available for download from October 16 to till examination date.
