Career Launcher Young India Challenge (CLYIC) Finale 2013

Finale of the biggest and most innovative quiz contest is round the corner. On November 25, 2013, renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle will be bowling bewildering googlies at FICCI auditorium in Delhi at the semi-finalists and finalists of Career Launcher Young India Challenge (CLYIC), the biggest quiz contest.

CLYIC is an event that blends an engaging cutting edge 21st century quiz format with an enormous reach of over 100 cities and 15000 schools. The CL Young India Challenge combines the traditional excitement of identifying the brightest and sharpest minds in the country with format designed to engage and address a generation brought up in the information age.

Over 2 lac school students competed hard to move up the preliminary rounds held in schools spread across five geographical regions. In the process, over one million school students were physically engaged with the quiz. Rolling across cyber space simultaneously, the event has reached around 20 million persons via the CL website and its presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The numbers are growing fast as the November 25 semi-finals and finals draw close. All the quizzing, so far, has been expertly handled by Mr. Joy Bhattacharya who also happens to be the director of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Lenovo, Penguin books, Texas Instruments and Dell are associated with CLYIC as official prize sponsors offering laptops, tablets, books and scientific calculators.

Mr. Bhogle by commenting on the nature of the pan-India quiz said that CLYIC is much more than memorising. Involving lots of reasoning and logic using new technology, it is a unique competition. It combines traditional excitement of identifying the brightest and sharpest minds in the country with a format designed to engage and address a generation brought up in the information age.
