As the matter relating to ‘discrepancy’ in CAT scores gathers momentum, the Calcutta High Court on Monday directed the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to show the answer sheets and the raw scores to the six petitioners.
“The Court has directed the respondents to file an affidavit within 4 weeks to disclose the answer sheets, the methodology for evaluation and raw marks to the petitioners,” said Snehashis, one of the petitioner.
Ever since the results of CAT 2013 were announced on January 14, several students have been demanding a re-valuation. Many petitions have been filed in different High Courts. A mass petition is likely to be filed in one of the High Courts soon.
The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court had last week directed to send notices to IIM Indore, Prometric and the Union of India on a petition alleging discrepancy in CAT scores.
The Madras high court had earlier ordered that 8 seats be reserved for each of the petitioners in any of the 13 IIMs pending final disposal of the writ petition filed by the candidates who undertook CAT 2013 at Chennai.
Last month the Indore bench of MP high court had issued notices to 13 IIMs to explain both the normalisation and the scaling process of the scores of the CAT 2013 aspirants.
