Bull’s Eye Event at BESC, Kolkata

The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), Calcutta University, organised an informative session on the prevailing trends in the Stock Market on 5th August 2015.

The two hour session was moderated by the Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Dilip Shah and the teacher coordinator, Prof. Vijay Kothari. It included activities that were brain storming and engaging. Students participated in the quizzing activities enthusiastically. They were divided into groups that represented a leading Indian Company and were asked to keep a track of the opening and closing prices of their company’s stocks and further analyse and compute the trend in the patterns observed by them. Students were asked questions about the Stock Market and the winners were awarded prizes thereafter.
 

The event was a success and lead to the advancement of knowledge on various stock market concepts for the participating students and audience. More events like these are expected to be organised by the student volunteers of the college in the coming academic year.
