Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has given a notable contribution in increasing food grain production in Punjab. The university offers integrated programmes in teaching, research and extension in agriculture, agricultural engineering, home science and allied disciplines.

PAU invites applications for 6 years B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) programme and M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System for academic year starting in 2012.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)

Eligibility Criteria for 6 years B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) Programme

• You should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 65% marks in aggregate in compulsory subjects
• You will be selected for admission to B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) on the basis of Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT).

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System (GIS)

• You should have an OCPA of 6.00 or 60% marks or equivalent in Bachelor of Engineering or B. Tech. in Agril. Engineering /Aerospace Engineering / Information Technology /Computer Science Engineering /Electronics & Communication /Civil Engineering /Water Resources Engineering /Mining Engineering /Mineral Engineering / Petroleum Engineering.
• You should have Masters’ degree in Environmental Science /Earth Science /Remote Sensing/ Geo- informatics / Geography / Geology/Physics/Mathematics/ Computer Science /Information Technology/Agricultural Science / Forestry.
• You will be selected for admission to M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System (GIS) on the basis of interview.

Application Procedure for admission to Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)

• You can apply for B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) and M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System by obtaining prospectus-cum-application forms personally from Additional Director Communication, Centre for Communication & International Linkages, PAU, Ludhiana and from the Incharge, Institute of Agriculture, Gurdaspur by paying Rs. 1210/- in cash.
• You have to send a demand draft of Rs. 2145 (Rs. 3430 if you download application form) drawn in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana for B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.).
• You have to send a demand draft of Rs. 1290 (for downloaded form) drawn in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana for M.Tech. Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System.
