National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar organised a voluntary Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of 69th Independence Day in association with the GYMKHANA/ Red Ribbon Club, NITS and Blood Bank, SMC. All the Faculty members/ Staffs/ Students of NIT Silchar actively came forward to join the camp in SAC Building and made it a grand success.
The philanthropic step taken by the Institute proved to be a great success as many volunteers came forth to be a part of the event. The camp was conducted for around 5 hours. Not only the scholars but the faculty and the maintenance staff also actively participated in the humanitarian activity and showed their benevolence.
About the Institute:
National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar is a Deemed University. Earlier, NIT was established as a Regional Engineering College in Assam and later on it was declared as Institute of National Importance under National Institute of Technology Act, 2007. The Institute offers various courses at under graduate and graduate level. The Engineering Department comprises of Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The Non-Engineering Departments include Chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Studies, Mathematics and Physics.
