Pearl 2015 the annual cultural fest of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad (BITS PILANI) Campus was formally inaugurated on the March 10, 2015 at the auditorium of the campus.
The Chief Guest was Mr. Vivek B Gadgil, CEO and Managing Director of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad). The inauguration was graced by the performance of the acclaimed Odissi dancer Ms Arushi Mudgal.
The fest inspired by the theme ‘Odyssey of Legends’ was held from March 12 -15, 2015. Headliner events like the group dance event ‘Terpischore’ and the metal and rock band contest ‘Till Deaf Do we part’ were very popular among the students.
Interspersed among the numerous events were the riveting performances of the Bollywood Titans ‘Vishal-Shekar’, the German Symphonic Metal Band ‘Xandria’ and Nikhil Chinapa (for Electronic Dance Music). The actress Akshara Haasan and the actor Nani had also come for an interactive session. All in all PEARL ’15 was an exhilarating experience for those who had come.
