Government Model Engineering College (MEC) in Cochin, is one of the premier engineering institutions of Kerala. It is ranked as one of the top 30 government engineering colleges in India. The college is run by IHRD of the Kerala government and is affiliated to CUSAT University.
Placements have begun for B. Tech student batch of 2008-2012. MEC offers three branches of engineering:
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (EBE)
Campus placements are on for students for the above mentioned courses. Around 80% of the students have received their offer letters from the various companies that have visited MEC as part of the campus placement procedure.
