BHU Admissions 2014: Apply Now for BA LLB (Hons)

The admission process for the BA LLB (Hons) 2014-15 at the Faculty of Law, BHU (Banaras Hindu University) has already started. The duration of the programme is five years. The minimum intake for the course is 30 while the maximum intake is 60.

The candidates who wish to pursue this course are required to sit for an entrance exam, BLAT 2014. The test consists of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 450 marks. The questions will be asked on General Awareness and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Mental Ability and English Comprehension. The time allotted will be 120 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant who has successfully completed Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving certificate course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course with a minimum of 50% marks for the General category, 45% for the OBC category and 40% for the SC/ST category.

Please note that the applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open Universities System directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies shall not be eligible for admission to 5-year B.A. LL.B.

All the applications need to be made online at http://bhuonline.in/. The fee for the test is Rs. 500 for the General Category and Rs. 250 for the SC/ST category.
