Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata: Industrial visit to Ganges Jute Mill

Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata organized an Industrial visit for students of Commerce Plus to Ganges Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. on August 8, 2015. Prof. Vijay Kothari and Prof. Rajesh Kumar Shaw headed the troop of 45 students.

Mr. Rakesh Jhajharia welcomed the scholars warm heartedly and the students and the staff were served with refreshments followed by the brief about the jute products and about its manufacturing process. Later on the students were taken to factory shop floor by Mr. Patra. The students got the practical knowledge about the jute manufacturing process starting from fibre cleaning, to converting it into threads, weaving, cutting to final packaging and dispatching.

Later on an interaction with Mr. Behra, Chief Quality Controller was arranged where the students were briefed about the history of the company. Also, government policies and future trend of industry was discussed. This was followed by lunch and thanks giving by the students for the company’s hospitality.
