BEML stands for Bharat Earth Movers Limited, and was founded in May 1964. This Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) manufactures rail coaches & spare parts and mining equipments. The Indian government owns 54% of the total equity and the remaining 46% is owned by the public, foreign institutional investors, banks, employees and financial institutions. BEML has released notification regarding BEML recruitment through GATE 2022. 

BEML is responsible for serving core sectors of India like the defence, rail, power, infrastructure and mining. Today the company has achieved a turnover of Rs. 3,500 Crores and more, having started from Rs. 5 Crores, back in 1965. BEML is recruiting engineers as trainees as part of BEML recruitment through GATE 2022. 

BEML is involved in three major businesses sectors namely, Mining and construction, Defence, Rail and metro.

Education Qualification

Interested candidates should hold a degree in one of the following streams, from a recognised university, with 70% marks for the general category, and 65% for SC/ST/PwD

•  Mechanical
•  Electrical and Electronics
•  Metallurgy

Age Limit

Interested candidates should be 27 years of age, as on 31st January 2022, for general category.
Age relaxation as per government of India guidelines will be applicable for SC/ST of 5 years and for OBC, 3 years.
Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will be applicable as per government of India guidelines.

•  Candidates applying for this recruitment have to apply for GATE 2022.
•  Once candidates have registered to take the GATE 2022 exam, in the same subject as their qualifying degree, they need apply online to BEML.
•  The link for online application will be available on the website, www.bemlindia.com, from 10th January 2022, 9 am onwards to 5:45 pm on 31st January 2022.
•  An application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable to general and OBC candidates. Fee is not applicable for SC/ST/PwD. The fee needs to be paid by downloading the Challan that is available on the BEML website, and need to pay only at the State Bank of India, in the BEML account number, 31006750220.
•  Those who are applying for multiple positions need to make separate payments for each application.
•  In filling the application, candidates are required to take a print out of their application form, attach their recent passport sized photograph, sign and attach the challan copy (if applicable), along with the copies of their qualification certificates (self attested), proof of experience, age, caste (if applicable), disability (if applicable), and send to the address mentioned below. Please note that you must mention the category and post applied for on the top left corner of the envelope.

•  All the documents should reach the above given address, maximum by 8th February 2022. Documents that do not reach the address, or are incomplete will be automatically rejected without any further communication.

Selection Procedure:

•  The selection procedure will comprise of weightage given to marks in the qualifying exams, GATE scores and the personal interview.
•  Candidates will be shortlisted according to their categories for the personal interview, only on the basis of their GATE 2022 scores, in their corresponding papers.
•  The candidates who finally get selected will first undergo a training period of one year, after which based on their performance assessment they may be absorbed by the company, as Engineer (Grade-II).

Salary Structure for BEML Recruitment through GATE 2022

Selected candidates will be paid a starting salary of Rs. 16,400/- per month, during their one year of training period. Apart from this, they will be eligible for dearness allowance, allowances applicable under cafeteria, as per the rules of the company. If a candidate is absorbed by the company after one year as Engineer (Grade-II), he/she will be given the same pay scale with one additional hike (3% of basic pay) and he/she will be on a one year probation period.
