Be Good Critics

You came to know about the demise of Paul Walker (the fans, please try avoiding tears). You’re yet to be touched by the awe of ‘the fast and the furious’ series. Then you saw some of your pals getting sad over the tragedy. And then the words came out of your mouth, “Is it such a big deal?”. Later on, you see the series. Now, you yourself know how much you wanna take your words back (or to say with feel, how much you wanna kill your past self). There’s a difference between saying that Paul Walker was a good actor because you’ve heard so, and agreeing to the fact that he is the only person you would ever like to see as O’Conner after watching the series.

While all this might seem pointless to some, unknowingly many of us do the same mistake – give our advice on the basis of little knowledge or from what we have heard. The importance of this in making decisions as important as choosing the college can best be felt by someone who has done that. Indians, specially, are known to be big time critiques. Just by following “speak less, and think/listen more”, we can not only come off as intelligent individuals, but can actually be better with our thoughts, and consequently with our advises too.
