Syllabus for BCAET 2013

General Science: Science & it’s evolution, Technology & Human life, Environment, AC & DC, Space, Orbits, Planets, Matter & its properties, Electron, Proton, Structure of atom, Electronic Current, Ohm’s law, Resistance, Laws of motion, Work, Energy & power, Resistivity, Conductors, Resisters, Series & parallel combination of resistors and its application in daily life, Electric power, Relations between P, V, I & R.

Computer Awareness: Introduction to IT, Number system, Computer (definition, characteristics, generations, classification, block diagram), Computer V/s Human, I/O devices, Software and hardware, Types of software, Internet (Email, WWW.Search engines, Websites), Introduction to O.S., M.S. Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint), Programming concepts, Flowcharts & algorithms, Computer Networks & Computer Viruses (Firewell & Antivirus).

Mathematical Ability & Logical Reasoning: Real numbers, Polynomials, Mensuration (Areas, Surface areas and Volume), Quadratic equations, A.P., G.P., H.P., Trigonometric applications, Matrix and Determinants, Set theory, Permutation & Combinations, Statistics (Mean, Median, Mode & Probability), Series and Sequences, Non-verbal reasoning, Analytical ability, Symbolic logic, Verbal and Critical reasoning, Logical analytical reasoning, Data interpolation.

 

Scheme of Test for BCAET 2013

  • The time duration for the exam will be 2 hours.
  • The test will consist of 100 multiple choice questions of 10+2 level.
  • One mark will be awarded for each correct answer .There will be no deduction for marking wrong answers or not attempting questions.
  • The candidates will be provided OMR Sheet for marking answers. They will be required to darken the oval of correct choice for each question in the OMR sheet only.
  • Minimum qualifying marks 50 out of 100.
  • No provision for re-checking, re-totalling and revaluation of answer books.
  • Medium of Examination will be in English and Hindi.
