Bade logon ki badi baatein

“Koi nahi yaar.. humein pata hai ‘kuchh’ bade log humse ab milna nahi chahte”

“Yaar, isme ‘bade log’ waali kya baat hai!”

“Haan.. sab dekh liya .. ab toh attitude dikhayega tu”

“Yaar.. apne dost ko bhi aisa bologe?”

Ever since my selection as an click4college Journalist, my school friends think that I have suddenly changed. They now see me as someone who’s  "popular" and "cool" (Trust me,I’m not blowing my own trumpet here).Someone, who is no longer the “same Rishabh as he used to be”.

Sigh. How do I make them realise, that it is THEY who have changed! I never asked them to treat me like this! If I don’t reply to your messages on Whatsapp, or do so a bit late, it doesn’t mean that I am arrogant! It simply means that I was a little busy, and therefore could not reply! If I have been assigned responsibilities by my office, what do you expect me to do-say that I have to chat with my friends, and hence cannot submit the article on time? (For people saying yes, try this when you start working-am sure you will get a promotion.)

YOU make plans for an outing. If I politely say ‘no’, you all call it “kuchh bade logon ko toh interest hi nahi hai ab hamare saath ghumne mein.” Seriously? If I go out and have fun with all of you, will it make me less of a “bade log”? And what is it with this “bade log” business anyways?Do you all expect me to be always available for a trip to the mall? No, it doesn’t matter that I have some prior commitments.

To all my friends who feel like above—l LOVE you all. I may not reply to your messages as instantly as I used to earlier, but I do make sure to reply.Also,about the outings—who doesn’t like having fun? Being tied down by the office deadlines,I may not be available sometimes.But I am sure you all will understand—after all,FRIENDS ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW YOU REALLY WELL…AND LIKE YOU ANYWAY! :D

P.S.-Loved the re-union earlier this week.And I hope I didn’t snub anyone.If I did,you can blame it on me being a fiery Leo ;). Also,am still the same motormouth and funny goofball ...you can relax. :P :)
