About the University:

 

Kalasalingam University was established in the year 1984 by the Kalasalingam Anandam Ammal Charities. “Kalvivallal” Thiru T. Kalasalingam, veteran freedom fighter, is the founder chairman. The founding philosophy of the Institute is to “Empower Youth”, for development through technology. 

 

The University offers 13 U.G. courses, 29 P.G courses and Ph. D programs in all disciplines. It is the first institution in India to offer the 6 years Integrated B. Tech course in Engineering for the Speech & Hearing Impaired Student. The University has signed MoU with many foreign universities, research organizations and industries with an objective of promoting research and development. University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.
