Attendance notice from Patna University

Every University sets certain criteria which a student requires to fulfil. Patna University is no exception. Institute every year selects and allowed candidates to sit in the exam on the basis of their attendance. It is no doubt a good initiative towards active attention of a student to his/her classes. If a student is concerned about his attendance and values its importance he/she will never flunk.

Vice Chancellor of Patna University hereby ordered every department to make sure that every student must have at least 75% attendance or otherwise he or she will not be granted to appear in the sent-up examination. All constituent colleges have to follow the rule accordingly. 

It is the minimum required attendance margin below which one wouldn’t be able to sit in an exam and at this part College is very strict to follow the rules. Students should have minimum 75% of attendance to appear in the exams.

All HODs are requested to covey the massage to the parents of those candidates whose attendance is below 75%-60% that they wouldn’t be allowed to sit in the term end exams as per University’s attendance norms.

The parents of the students whose attendance is below 50% should be called to the College and asked to give a written undertaking.

HOD/Coordinators 1st year will arrange extra classes for them to cover up the required attendance as a last chance.
