The Government of Assam, under the aegis of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) will be conducting the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) 2022 with the rules offered by Central Regulating Authorities, for those who want to teach students of Classes 1 to 5 or in Classes 6 to 8.
The interested candidates can apply for the same via online mode. The test will be conducted at various centres in the state of Assam. The selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Classes 1 to 5 (Paper I):
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and those appearing in the final two year diploma in Elementary Education/ four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)/two year Diploma in Education in special education are eligible to apply.
Or
Candidate must have possess BA/B. Sc/B. Ed with at least 50% marks
For Classes 6 to 8 (Paper II):
Candidate should have obtained BA/B. Sc and those appearing in the final exams of the two year D. Ed/ BA/ B. Sc with a minimum of 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed / senior secondary with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final four year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) / four year BA/ B. Sc. Ed or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (special education) with 50 per cent in BA or B. Sc are eligible for apply.
Age Limit:
The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and the maximum age limit is 40 years.
Exam Pattern:
The exam will consist of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question will carry 1 mark.

The Application Fee for Assam TET 2022 is Rs. 400
