Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is a common entrance exam required for taking admission in Ph.D / Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science or Neuroscience.
Students who want to take admission in Ph.D programmes in the central government funded institutions across India must appear for JEST.
Qualifying in JEST does not entitle an applicant to get a Research Fellowship. Using the JEST results, each institute will call a limited number of candidates for further selection depending on their requirements. All selected candidates will receive Research Fellowships from the respective institutes.

Registration Process:
- You can register online for JEST 2014 by visiting the official website of JEST.
- You can pay JEST fee (Rs. 300/- for General and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST) online using Debit/Credit cards/Net-Banking.
