Apply to Dr. Harishingh Gour University, Madhya Pradesh for admission to M.Phil and Ph.D programme, 2013

Dr. Harishingh Gour University, Madhya Pradesh will conduct M.Phil and Ph.D entrance tests on May 29, 2013 for admission to the academic session 2013-14 for M.Phil and Ph.D programme. Admission will be given on the basis of merit in entrance test. Eligible candidates are requested to submit their application form before due date.

University will follow two methods in case of Ph.D admission i.e. direct admission and admission through entrance exam. And course duration for both the programme is two semesters. Accurate age limit has set for both the courses i.e. 28 years as on July 1, 2013. There is relaxation up to 5 years in case of ST/SC/PC/Female and OBC (nom creamy layer).

University has also reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/PC as per the rules of Govt. of India, ST 7.5%, Sc 15%, and OBC 27%. 3% seats are reserved within each of the categories only if the candidates fulfill the minimum eligibility at the time of entrance exam.

The candidate should print/download the application form for M.Phil/Ph.D-2013 and send the hard copy to the Chairman Admission Cell, Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar-470003.

The following should also be enclosed with the form;

• Copy of the bank challan

• Date of birth proof

• Caste certificate

• NET-JRF certificate etc.

Fee for entrance test; general category Rs 900/-; OBC (NCL) category Rs 450/-; SC/ST/PH/VH Rs 225/- which be deposited through challan forms SBI Power Jyoti Account A/c No-32000156472 (Subhead-F) payable in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI), all over India.

Admission will be given on merit basis after evaluating the performance of the candidates in the interview conducted by the concerned department.

Eligibility for M.Phil & Ph.D admission

• Candidates have secured more than 55% marks in Master’s or equivalent exam from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC.
• SC/ST/OBC/PC candidates having 50% marks can apply for entrance test.

• Candidates studying in last semester of the qualifying exam may also apply but he/she must have to produce final result before the date of interview. Otherwise student will not permit for further procedures.
