Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) Results 2012 Announced on June 21, 2012

About APTET:

APTET or Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted in Andhra Pradesh state for the aspirants looking forward to join the teaching field in Andhra Pradesh in primary and high schools. The results were declared on June 21, 2012. Candidates who appeared for the test can check their result on the official website of APTET.


Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates with B.Ed, and D.Ed can now complete the APTET 2012 exam and can apply for APDSC 2012. APTET Score is a must to apply for DSC in AP.

The criteria for clearing APTET are:
 

• OC 60% Marks and above
• BC 50% Marks and above
• SC 40% Marks and above
• ST 40% Marks and above
• Differently-abled (PH) 40% Marks and above

Please note that candidates who have 40% physically disability will be considered in respect of visually handicapped and orthopedically handicapped. With regard to Hearing Impaired, minimum 75% disability will be considered under PH category.

Recruitment Guidelines:
 

• APTET is the minimum qualification to apply for the post of teacher. However, it is not mandatory that any Government/Zilla Parishad/Mandal Parishad/Municipal or Private aided school should appoint the candidates who have appeared or passed the test.

• The candidates also need to have all the qualifications for appointment to any particular post as directed by the State Government.

• The APTET Certificate/Marks Memo is valid for a period of 7 years to be eligible for selection in District Selection Committee (DSC).

• 20% weightage is given to APTET scores in the recruitment of teachers for the State Government while 80% weightage is for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up selection list.

Remuneration:

The APTET is conducted for the recruitment of teachers for Government/Zilla Parishad/Mandal Parishad/Municipal or Private aided schools. The salary offered to teacher depends upon the state policy.
