Alumni meet of NIT, Jamshedpur ended with good note

National Institute of Technology, NIT Jamshedpur celebrated this season of love with their elder children in the Grand Homecoming I.e. the annual alumni meet 2015 that started on February 14, 2015, the day of love!

 

With the theme going pink love was in the air, the two day event started with an interactive session where the alumni were asked to share their personal and professional experiences and give suggestions for the forthcoming betterment of the institute.

 

The past memories were further refreshed by a campus visit by the alumni. To remind them of the good old days they have spent here, special alumni event was conducted in the ongoing Annual Sports Meet as well. There was an active participation packed with enthusiasm. The caravan further moved ahead to its next destination which was at Technical Students Gymkhana. 

 

A cultural night was arranged for the alumni where the dance and vocals teams of the institute put forth their best leg to create a memorable night for the alumni. This cultural extravaganza was followed by dinner which marked the end of the first night of this grand night. 

 

The next day kicked off with a cross country marathon. This was followed by an exhibition that was organized for the alumni by the various teams and start ups in the institute. The alumni took keen interest in their work and few of them also offered assistance in various ways. To relive those best moments of their youth, a department visit was organized in which the alumni visited the labs and classrooms. This was followed by a brain storming session. A grand lunch was organized at the Technical Students' Gymkhana to commemorate the grand homecoming. This was followed by the valedictory function. 

 

The Meet ended on a high note with all the alumni and students intermingling and exchanging memories and experiences and best wishes for the future.
