Allahabad University to Admit MBA aspirants through CAT

The Academic Council of the Allahabad University has decided to admit students to the MBA course through CAT examination from next session.

At present, MBA is being offered at Motilal Nehru Institute of Business Administration and MBA (rural management) being offered at Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute. Allahabad University used to conduct its own examination for admission to these colleges for which students will have to give one common examination.

The members of the council have also agreed to admit students to the MBA (rural management offered by Govind Pant Institute) through separate all-India entrance test.

The council also decided that for admission under sports quota, the varsity would carry out the exercise according to the rules and guidelines of the Association of Indian Universities.
