About the exam
All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED), which is conducted by Arch Academy of Design in two Series, while Series I has already been conducted in December – January, Series II will be conducted from April 1st 2013 onwards.
Eligible for courses
Taking this exam, you will be eligible for the various courses in Fashion Design.
Eligibility Criteria (For undergraduate students)
- Candidates who have appeared for or cleared 10 + 2 (CBSE / ICSE / IB / State Board / NIOS or equivalent as per UGC guidelines) are eligible.
- 10+1 students can also apply and those those qualifying in AIEED 2012-13 this year are eligible for direct admission to the Academy the following year (2014-15 Sessions)
Eligibility Criteria (For post graduate students)
Candidates who have appeared for the final year Exam of their Bachelor's Degree or have completed Graduation in any stream are eligible to apply.

About the exam
Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is an all India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
Eligible for courses
Clearing CEED, you will be eligible for courses in Fashion, namely:
- Product Design and Engineering
- Industrial Design
- Visual Communication
- Animation
- Interaction Design
- Mobility and Vehicle Design
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following, by July 2013
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design or equivalent.
- Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2).
- B.F.A. (Bachelors in Fine Arts - 4 year professional programme, after 10+2)
- G.D. Art (Government Diploma in Art - a 5 year programme after 10th) with one year professional experience.
- Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications. (i.e. M.A/ M.Sc/ MCA)

Pearl Academy’s admission procedure is organized in two cycles for Admission 2013:

Eligible for courses
Clearing Pearl Academy’s entrance test, you will be eligible for most of their fashion courses, depending on your subjects, aptitude and interest.
Eligibility Criteria
- For 4-Year Undergraduate B.A. (Hons.) programmes: 10+2, or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
- For 2-Year Post Graduate Diploma programmes: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

About the exam
An exam by the National Institute of Design to test the designing skills of applicants.
Eligible for courses
DAT will make you eligible for Fashion & Design courses for admission to NID.
Eligibility (Undergraduate)
Students who have passed or who will appear for qualifying examinations under the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC during the academic year 2012-13.
Upper age limit for candidates is 20 years (relaxable by 3 years for reserved categories) as on June 1, 2013.
Eligibility (Postgraduate)
- Candidates having a Bachelor's degree or equivalent including those who will be appearing for the qualifying examinations during the academic year (2012-13)
- Successful candidates shall be given admission to the academic programme, by the institute, subject to their passing the qualifying examinations.
- Upper age limit for candidates is 30 years (relaxable by 3 years for reserved categories) as on June 1, 2013.

NIFT GAT, MAT & CAT Exam
About the exam
National Institute of Fashion Technology’s entrance examination tests you on:
- General Ability Test (GAT)
- Creative Ability Test (CAT)
- Managerial Ability Test (MAT)
After clearing the respective GAT, MAT and CATs you will be eligible for the various fashion courses they have to offer.
Eligibility
- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- Please note that the upper age limit for applying in bachelor programmes is restricted to 23 years as on 1st November, 2012
