The Bar Council of India (BCI) has rescheduled the next All India Bar Examination (AIBE) from 22nd December, 2013 to 19th January, 2014.
This is the sixth AIBE that is being held. It has become mandatory for all the law graduates to take the AIBE.

About All India Bar Examination (AIBE)
The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted with an objective to examine an advocate’s capability to practice the profession of law in India. The AIBE will assess skills at a basic level, and is intended to set a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law; it addresses a candidate’s analytical abilities and understanding basic knowledge of law.
After clearing the examination candidate will be awarded "Certificate of Practice" by the Bar Council of India, the apex statutory body to regulate the legal education and profession in the country. AIBE will be conducted in 39 cities all across India. Candidates will have 11 languages to choose for attempting the examination. The test will have 100 multiple-choice questions spread across various subjects. This test will be conducted every six months by the BCI.
