The All India Inter University Boxing (Men/Women) Championship is going on full swing and hosted by Lovely Professional University from February 19 to March 4, 2015.
As LPU Pro- Chancellor Mrs. Rashmi Mittal said that this is great opportunity and honor for LPU that Association of Indian Universities has selected LPU for organizing this Boxing Championship, all because of the previous years’ success in many AIU sports hosted in LPU.
Sports at a glance:
- Teams participated
- Women: 54
- Men: 88
- Boxers: 200 (including Managers, Mentors, Referees, Officials)
- Boxers will compete in 10 weight categories to exhibit the best of their power and punches
Dates to remember:
- The first phase of Championship for women: February 23, 2015
- Next Phase for Men bouts: March 4, 2015
LPU is doing its best to make the event as successful as the previous ones.
