AIIMS PG/Post-Doctoral Course Entrance Exam 2017

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has started inviting applications from medical aspirants seeking admission in Post-Doctoral [DM/M.Ch.(3 years)/Fellowship Programme] and MD (Hospital Admn.) and Post Graduate [MD/MS/M.Ch. (6 years)/DM (6 years)/MDS] courses offered at AIIMS, New Delhi for academic session 2022.

In addition to AIIMS, New Delhi, AIIMS PG entrance exam will make the qualified candidates eligible to apply for admission in AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Rishikesh as well.

AIIMS holds PG entrance exam for admission in PG/Post-Doctoral courses, which is an opportunity for training teachers for medical colleges in the country.

Number of Seats Available at AIIMS for PG Courses

Applicants should take a close look at the number of seats available at AIIMS for post-doctoral courses for the January 2022 session.

AIIMS PG Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have an MBBS degree for MD/MS application and a BDS degree for MDS courses from Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India recognized University.

Also, candidate should have completed 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 30th January 2022.

Not to forget, applicants need to have scored 55% marks in aggregate in all the MBBS/BDS professional examinations to be termed eligible for application, whereas it is just 50% for SC/ST candidates.

The AIIMS PG entrance examination will tentatively be conducted in 24 cities all over India, but candidates are recommended to mention their choice of city at the time of filling the application form.

The 24 cities where AIIMS PG entrance exam will be done are Agartala; Jammu; Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar; Kolkata/Hoogly/Parganas; Bengaluru; Lucknow; Bhopal; Mohali/Ropar/Fatehgarh Sahib; Bhubaneswar; Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai; Chennai; Nagpur; Dehradun; Patna; Delhi/NCR; Raipur; Ernakulam/ Cochin; Ranchi; Guwahati; Shimla; Hyderabad/Rangareddy/Medak; Thiruvananthapuram; Jaipur; Vijaywada / Guntur.

AIIMS PG Entrance Exam Application Process

• Visit the official website of AIIMS exam
• Click on ‘Academic Courses’ on the home page
• Click on the respective course to file application for
• Fill the application form
• Attach the required documents
• Pay the application fees online
• Submit the form along with all the enclosures
• Keep a copy for future references

Candidates should note that incorrect filling of application form will result in cancellation of candidature.

Applicants will be required to pay Rs.1000/- + transaction charges as AIIMS PG entrance exam application fee.

On the other hand, SC/ST applicants will be charged with Rs. 800/- and OPH candidates are exempted from paying any fee.

AIIMS PG Admit Card 2022

The AIIMS PG entrance exam admit cards 2022 will be available for the applicants on the official website of AIIMS under candidate’s login.

The admit card will be available in the month of November 2022.

Also, applicants are recommended to check details on AIIMS PG 2022 admit cards, such as  name, examination details, examination center address etc. In case of any issue, candidates must contact the examination authority immediately.

AIIMS PG Entrance Exam Pattern

AIIMS PG entrance exam will be a three-hour Computer-Based Test (CBT) for MD /MS Courses, whereas for MDS courses the time will be 1.5 hours.

It will be conducted in one shift, and will have one paper in English consisting of 200 objective type question for MD/MS paper and 90 MCQs for MDS paper.

There is 1/3 negative marking for every wrong answer in the test.

AIIMS PG Selection Procedure

Once the AIIMS PG written examination will be done, AIIMS will call the qualified candidates for AIIMS PG counselling 2022, wherein the candidates have to book a seat as per their choice of subject and on the basis of merit.

The AIIMS PG 2022 session will start in January 2022.
