The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), who previously announced to conduct AIIMS 2022 PhD entrance test in January for academic session 2022-18, has now declared that it will hold Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) entrance test on January 14, 2022.
AIIMS conducts AIIMS PhD entrance test once in a year for students seeking admissions to PhD courses offered in various specialisations at AIIMS.
To apply for PhD entrance test by AIIMS, aspirants are recommended to check their qualification with the AIIMS PhD eligibility criteria. Applications who do not match the prescribed eligibility criteria will be dropped.
AIIMS PhD Entrance Test 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Science or in a subject allied to Bio-Medical Sciences.
If not this, then candidates must be Master’s in Nursing with a minimum of 60% or Master of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine or hold an equivalent degree or diplomat of the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
Also, applicants should have MBBS degree with a minimum of 55% from a recognised University/Institute.

AIIMS PhD 2022 Entrance Exam Pattern
The AIIMS 2022 PhD entrance exam is a written examination carrying 80 marks.
Applicants will be provided with 90 minutes to attempt the AIIMS entrance exam.
The question paper will be divided into two sections i.e. an MCQ section having 50 theory-based questions and another section will have30 clinical/practical/lab based subjective questions.
Also, every correct answer will help the candidates in gaining one mark each, whereas every wrong answer will deduct one-third (-1/3) of a mark from the candidate’s score.
Notably, negative markings will be done only if the applicant will attempt more than one question wrong.
