AICTE Simplifies its Application Process

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will accept online applications from 6 Oct, 2011 for new colleges running MBA, MCA, diploma engineering and architecture courses.

With the last date of applications at 31 December, 2011, the documents submitted as part of the online application process of colleges will be checked between 1 January, 2012 and 1 March, 2012. AICTE officials will inspect colleges to see if they are meeting the eligibility criteria as listed by AICTE in February 2012. The colleges who pass this inspection will be bestowed with the respectable permits to accept online applications by end of April.

The reason behind the streamlining of the system is to ensure that permission to new colleges is granted in time and is not delayed. In the past years, permission to new colleges was granted by July end which interfered with the central admission process.
