Admissions @Lady Shri Ram College

As the first list for admissions in Delhi University closed on Saturday, there were a variety of trends that could be discerned through the various students which thronged Lady Shri Ram College in hopes of securing admissions in their preferred courses.

Due to the high cut-offs in most of the courses offered by the college, less number of students were seen to be qualified for the courses of their choice. The step-by-step process of filling in the OMR datasheet before coming in to secure admission streamlined the process and the admissions took place smoothly for the qualifying candidates. However, in some cases, some aspiring candidates could not secure admission for the courses for which they met the cut-off but had not included in their OMR datasheet at the time of filling it online. Political Science and Journalism saw reasonable number of admissions as opposed to other courses with scant number of applicants.

Aspiring candidates hoping to secure admission through the ECA (Extra Curricular Activity) category will be sitting for interviews in the coming week on the basis of shortlisted portfolios. The candidates applying through this category belong to various fields from classical music, to painting, to creative writing, to debating and many more. Some candidates will be applying through the sports category and the results will be out soon.
