All the students of the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) will now have to be Aadhaar Card holders to be able to apply for the 2022 Haryana Board examinations.
This new rule has been introduced to benefit the students in several ways. The Chairman of BSEH, Jagbir Singh said in a statement on Thursday that the new move is expected to prevent any kind of forgery of certificates, cases of impersonation, ensure accurate and correct details of the candidate.
He also stated that the Aadhaar Cards were used for the examinations earlier as well, but it wasn’t mandatory then. Steps have been taken by the board to ensure that this new move is implemented smoothly.
Mr. Singh further stated that the schools that did not provide the Aadhaar information of their students earlier, may now do so, by filling up the relevant column in the checklist that has been sent by the board.
