Banaras Hindu University will conduct its 96th convocation on March 27, 2014. The Faculties/Institutes would hold a function on March 26, 2014 wherein degrees will be distributed to the students.
Padma Vibhushan Dr. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar, Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics has very kindly consented to deliver the Convocation Address. University has cordially invited to attend the Convocation and participate in the Faculty function to receive the degree in person.
Interested candidates are requested to send their consent by email/letter/telegram, in the prescribed proforma given below, so as to reach the Dean of your Faculty latest by March 25, 2014 evening.
Academic robes will be supplied to the candidates at Faculty/Institute level from March 24, 2 pm to March 25, 2014, 5 pm on depositing Gown charges of Rs.100/- (non-refundable) and security deposit (refundable) of Rs.500/-.
A graduate can receive the degree in the function, only if he/she wears the Academic robes. You are, therefore, requested to send the consent within stipulated date to enable us to make necessary arrangements.
If anyone is unable to attend the convocation his/her degree will be automatically dispatched Registered AD post by the Office of the Controller of Examinations after one month of date of Convocation on the address mentioned by the student in the Examination form.
