83rd Bertram Memorial Tournaments 2015 at Loyola College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Loyola College of Arts and Science, Chennai organised 83^rd Bertram Memorial Tournaments 2015 which started from August 24, 2015. This event takes place every year and it is an inter-college sports meet. Basketball, Volleyball, Ball Badminton, tennis and chess are some of the major games of the tournaments. All the sports aficionados actively participated in the sports tournament. The sports meet was applauded by a huge number of audiences gathered to witness the tournament.

The Basketball tournament was held in 3 stages namely, Knock Out, League, Super League and Final Knock Out. The Finals and Loser Finals took place on August 31, 2015. Latest BFI rules were followed to make fair decisions. The Volley Ball tournament was held in three stages too namely; Knock Out, League and Super League. Top one team from each pool got qualified for super league and the super league matches started from August 27, 2015.

Tennis Singles and Doubles took place from August 26, 2015 to August 30, 2015. Latest AITA rules were followed to make the game fair. Official ball was also provided by the even organiser. The Chess tournament followed SWISS SYSTEM, which was held between August 29, 2015 and August 31, 2015.

The total Prize Money for the whole event was INR 2.65 Lakh. The winners of Basket Ball and Volley Ball received a cash prize of INR 25K each while Ball Badminton winners got cash prize of INR 20K. Table Tennis, Chess and Tennis tournament winners got INR 10K as the cash prize. Almost all top teams from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh participated in the tournament and had showcased their prowess in their games.
