The 5th edition of the prestigious Chandigarh Social Science Congress

The 5th edition of the prestigious Chandigarh Social Science Congress was held on the February 20, 2015 at Punjab University (PU), Chandigarh.

 

The theme for this year of the 2 day event was 'Governance: Issues, Challenges and Strategies with reference to India'

 

The event was inaugurated by PU VC Prof Grover who envisions that though challenging, good governance in India could provide a roadmap for the rest of the world. Former VC Prof. Puri and Fellow Prof. Ram delivered the presidential remarks and key note address respectively throwing light on various micro and macro factors which affect socities and governance. A panel discussion that followed had very distinguished dignitaries from various domains. 

 

The event concluded with coordinator of the programme, Dr. Swanrjit Kaur expressing the formal vote of thanks to all the dignitaries with a special mention to the delegation from Afghanistan.
